Either/Or
Two sides of a dichotomy exist. However, pressure exits to keep on the Sunny Side and to slight more than half of the dichotomy. To what do I refer? Both good and evil exist. Both right and wrong exist. Both righteousness/justice/approval before god (δικαιοσύνη) and pretense/hypocrisy/official acting (ὑπόκρισις) exist. As they would say, "There are two side of the coins".
Two sides exist in Deuteronomy 28: blessing and curse. When stretched over kings, years, and rules, it could look like clearly demarcated poles. When brought low to a view of singular people and days, it may rather function like the magnetism of two poles, and I the iron filing, and drifting ever closer to δικαιοσύνη or ὑπόκρισις.
Oh that the Lord would draw me close to that good pole.
