POV

Last night Noel and I went to Central Market to do some research on flowers for the wedding. For those of you who do not know what Central Market is it is top line of HEB grocery stores. However, the best way to describe it is yuppy. We walk straight to the flower section which is just inside the door and take a quick look the selection. It is very full, and we ask one of the workers if the selection will change much in the next few weeks. She says that it won't change a whole lot. We then begin taking pictures so that we can send them back to Noel's mom. We had just finished taking pictures when another worker came up to us and nicely asked us to stop taking pictures. Noel tells her that the other worker said it was ok. Megan then goes off and says that she is new, and that if someone else sees us taking pictures they will throw us out and that it doesn't matter if it is for our wedding because we might work for Whole foods or something. Then she uttered these words: "It is against the law.
Against the law. That is just rediculous. It has been little things like this encouter at the local yuppy-grocery store, movie previews, mega-Churches and their acute marketing schemes, and the local news that are lost on me. These things mean nothing to me now. It is not that it is so far below me, just that I have a different point of view.
