Wasps: This I Believe*

(Source: TAMU proving my point) Man has great power to build and destroy. I believe that is best to maintain balance between the many interrelated systems occurring around us. God bestowed powers upon Adam in the Garden to keep things balanced, and it was in my garden in Long Beach where I began to think about the earth and my relation to it. Since then, I have tended a few gardens, started to compost, and purchased previously-owned items where I may have purchased new in the past. I haven't installed a composting toilet, support with funds and special interest groups, boycotted anything normal, or become a shepherd of my own sheep to sheer to provide wool to be spun and darned into my own socks and such. I am trying to better balance my impact things in my immediate surroundings, without veering too far to one side or the other . . . the Golden Mean, if you will. A little weekend project

Curt, Teresa, Paul and Noël helped me with my little project over the weekend. We were able to build and install two 12' x 4' planter beds in our backyard. I am hoping for a bumper crop of vegetables this year. Putting together bed #1 The finished product
